Cheyenne Green - Hip hop, Ballet, Musical Theater
Cheyenne Green was born and raised in the Los Angeles area where she began dance instruction at the age of three. She continued her training as a teen in Memphis where her interest in musical theater intensified. Cheyenne is a recent graduate of American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York City. with a degree in Musical Theater.
While performing in and choreographing for her high school musicals and plays, Cheyenne also found time to be part of the Memphis performance studio Dance Dynamics, and later Collage Dance Collective, an innovative ballet company run by artistic director Kevin Thomas and managing director Marcellus Harper. A highlight of Cheyenne’s time at Collage was performing as a principal dancer for Derrick Sellers’ latest ballet entitled “Blue Ocean”. Her work with Sellers continued with trips to Washington D.C. to dance and model for his electronic press kit which is to be submitted to So You Think You Can Dance. In addition, Cheyenne has trained at Broadway Dance Center in NYC, and over the years has been the recipient of more than 20 awards and scholarships from Tremaine, Co Dance, Monsters of Hip Hop, Jump, NYCDA and numerous other dance conventions. A summer in Italy saw Cheyenne working with world-renowned choreographers Michele Assaf, Desmond Richardson and Joshua Pelatzsky.
An enthusiastic teacher, Cheyenne has taught at various studios in the Memphis and Los Angeles areas, and has choreographed for the Memphis Jr. Grizzlies Dance Team and Subculture Royalty Dance Company. She has assisted in teaching master classes with Chio Yamada (Broadway Dance Center) and was long-time assistant to choreographer Brandee Evans.
Cheyenne strives continually to improve and expand her craft and enjoys sharing her expertise with others. She believes anything is possible if you are willing to work for it.
