Opus' Teaching Philosophy
Opus’ teaching philosophy puts an emphasis on safe instruction, looking at the process over the product. We invite introspection in our students through keeping classes interactive and creating intentional goals in class planning - there is a huge difference between teaching a class and giving a class.
Students can expect regular feedback and hands-on corrections from Opus’ teaching faculty, coupled with praise and appreciation to create a positive learning environment. Teachers practice and encourage students self-care, cross-training and strengthening exercises to maintain safety in what we are asking our bodies to do. Opus teachers set a precedent of kindness, respect and professionalism.
