Opus Summer 2021 Class Schedule
Opus is offering a limited in-person summer classes at the Firehouse Performing Arts Center in Fairhaven. The schedule is limited to Ballet III+, Jazz II+ and Contemporary III. The first day of class is July 5.
As we planned summer classes, we've been watching vaccination rates closely and trying to plan accordingly. Now that vaccines for 12+ have been approved, we are excited to offer larger classes this summer and not have to divide students into small groups! They will have the opportunity to dance with each other more this summer and connect with their friends!
To participate in Summer Classes, students will be required to be fully vaccinated (with some exceptions for students under 12). The only way we are able to safely hold these larger summer classes is if everyone who is 12+ is fully vaccinated. Summer Class Teachers are either already fully vaccinated or will be by the start date of summer classes. By students getting their first shot by May 31, they should be fully vaccinated and ready to start in-person classes on July 5.
We will still be requiring masks for class as we navigate variants but teachers will be able to start giving hands-on corrections! All classes will continue to be held at The Firehouse Arts & Events Center (1314 Harris Avenue). Stay tuned for more details about summer protocols as we get closer to the start date.
