Sylvia Graham - Ballet
Sylvia Graham grew up in southern California studying ballet intensively under the instruction of Christine Schenk, Patrick Frantz, and Kim Maselli. She attended summer programs with the schools of the Pennsylvania Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Hartford Ballet, and Boston Ballet, and during her sophomore year of high school she attended Idyllwild Arts Academy on scholarship. While pursuing degrees in biology and marine science, Sylvia also studied ballet at the University of Washington and Western Washington University. She had been a member of Bellingham Repertory Dance for eight years and had the privilege of performing the works of many notable choreographers, including Joshua Beamish, Mark Haim, Wade Madsen, Mary Sheldon Scott, and Deborah Wolf. Sylvia holds a master's degree in Environmental Science and works for the City of Bellingham Public Works, Natural Resources division.
